HHO Conversion

HHO Conversion refers to the process of extracting the gas HHO out of water through a process called water electrolysis. Proponents of this alternative fuel method often face derision as nay-sayers will posit that it is not feasible to use electricity to extract gas from water on demand.

Many who do not believe this possible are under the misconception that the process directly splits the hydrogen and oxygen which they claim would take too much energy. It's important to note that it is not hydrogen that is extracted, but HHO, or Oxyhydrogen. HHO has been in use for many years for a variety of things. Read the Wikipedia article if you would like to know more about the history and uses of HHO.

In the automotive industry this is often refered to as 'Hydrogen Conversion' and there is a lot of information and products available online to add the ability to modern cars. It's understood that the energy required to extract the HHO from the water is close to the energy released. The benefit occurs when it is combined with the existing air-fuel mixture and a vast improvement in fuel burn efficiency occurs.
